The most important thing to having a beautiful yard starts with watering. Fertilizing plays its role along with preventative insect control and weed control. Water, though, is the most crucial factor; without water nothing else matters. Fertilizer is like food- your steak and potatoes. Yet, how long could you live on that if no one gave you water? In Florida, our soils do not hold onto water. It leeches extremely fast to the auquifer. University of Florida recomends a minimum of 3/4 of an inch of watering each time you water your lawn.
