Termites can do severe damage to a home.There are a variety of termites in Florida, but the most common are the Eastern Subterrainean and now the Formossan Termite which is gaining ground.The most damaging of the two is the Formossan. An article stated, "Imagine an animal eating a pound of wood per day," that is the damage they can cause. What treatments are available? The liquid barrier is the most traditional, but the baiting system is showing itself to be superior in many respects. The baiting system called "Trelona" by BASF is what we are using.
